William L. Campbell Jr.

     

Chip Campbell actively and aggressively helps clients navigate and solve problems to achieve the best result in the most efficient manner.  Mr. Campbell applies a common sense approach that focuses on developing strong relationships with clients in order to understand their businesses and needs. 

Mr. Campbell represents individual and corporate clients in a broad range of industries, including healthcare, entertainment, publishing, manufacturing and financial services.  Mr. Campbell has jury trial experience in federal and state courts, as well as experience trying cases in bench trials and administrative proceedings.  Although he has litigated matters involving numerous substantive areas of the law, Mr. Campbell’s practice primarily involves employment matters, healthcare, intellectual property, business torts and commercial disputes.

After receiving his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the United States Naval Academy in 1991, Mr. Campbell served seven years as an officer in the United States Marine Corps.  Following tours in an electronic attack squadron and an infantry battalion, Mr. Campbell attended the University of Alabama School of Law, graduating magna cum laude in 2001.  He served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Alabama Law Review for the publication year 2000-01 and was elected Order of Coif.  In addition to being published as a law student, Mr. Campbell co-authored “Alabama Code § 25-5-11: A Narrow Cause of Action Against Co-Employees,” which was published in the January 2003 edition of The Alabama Lawyer.

Mr. Campbell is licensed to practice in all state courts in Tennessee and Alabama, as well as numerous federal trial and appellate courts.  Before practicing with RWJ, Mr. Campbell was an associate with Maynard Cooper & Gale in Birmingham, Alabama.  Mr. Campbell serves as a U.S. Naval Academy Blue & Gold Officer and on the Board of Trustees for The Covenant School.  He is a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church (PCA).
