W. Russell Taber, III

Russell Taber’s practice focuses on litigating business disputes.  He has experience in various substantive areas of the law and industries, including healthcare, contract disputes and business torts, manufacturing, intellectual property and entertainment.  He has represented a broad range of clients from individuals to large, publicly traded companies in federal and state courts and arbitration proceedings.

Prior to joining Riley Warnock & Jacobson, PLC, Mr. Taber served as a law clerk for the Honorable Gilbert S. Merritt, Jr., of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.  Mr. Taber graduated from Vanderbilt University Law School, where he served as Special Project Editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review and was a member of the Order of the Coif and the Moot Court Board.  He also graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude from Georgetown University with a B. A. degree. 

Among his articles on several legal topics is “The Reexamination Clause: Exploring Bifurcation in Mass Tort Litigation,” which has been cited in a leading treatise on federal civil procedure, Wright & Miller’s Federal Practice and Procedure. 

Mr. Taber serves on the Young Alumni Board of Montgomery Bell Academy and on the Race Judicata Committee, which organizes an annual road race to benefit charitable causes.
